What legal software does ProCirrus support?
Law firms rarely run on a single application or technology model. A typical environment may include traditional server-based legal software, SaaS applications, Microsoft 365, document management systems, web applications, locally installed tools, and specialized industry software—all working together.
ProCirrus is designed to manage that mixed environment rather than force every application onto the same platform.
One desktop does not mean one technology
The ProCirrus One Desktop model does not mean every application has to run on the same server or even be hosted by ProCirrus.
A user might work with a server-based legal application hosted in ProCirrus, Microsoft 365, a SaaS document management system, a web research platform, locally installed software, and data stored in several different locations—all as part of one managed workspace.
The objective is to make those technologies work together without requiring the firm to manage each one as a separate IT environment.
What applications do ProCirrus clients use?
ProCirrus clients use a broad range of legal and business applications, including:
Tabs PracticeMaster
NetDocuments
ProLaw
Worldox
CaseAware
iManage
Clio
Westlaw
PCLaw
SoftPro
Amicus
Juris
Time Matters
Aderant
DocsVault
ActionStep
Abacus
and many others
This is not an exhaustive list. If a firm's application is not listed, ProCirrus can review its technical, licensing, integration, security, and vendor requirements to determine the appropriate way to support it.
Different applications can be delivered differently
The right delivery model depends on the software.
An application might run on ProCirrus-managed server infrastructure, be published through ProZone, operate locally on a managed endpoint, run entirely in a browser, or remain hosted by its SaaS provider. It may also integrate with Microsoft 365, a document management system, or other business applications.
SaaS applications do not have to be hosted by ProCirrus to be part of the managed environment. ProCirrus can still manage or support the surrounding identity, authentication, single sign-on, MFA, endpoint access, Microsoft 365 integration, security, user support, and vendor coordination.
Existing document management systems can remain in place
A firm does not have to replace its document management system simply because it moves to ProCirrus.
ProCirrus supports firms using systems such as NetDocuments, iManage, Worldox, DocsVault, and other document management platforms while managing the broader environment around them—including users, identity, Microsoft 365, applications, endpoints, security, infrastructure, networks, support, and vendor coordination.
Integration matters as much as the application itself
Legal applications frequently depend on Outlook, Word, PDF software, document management systems, databases, scanners, printers, accounting systems, and other applications.
That is why ProCirrus evaluates the workflow around the application, not simply whether the program launches.
During onboarding, ProCirrus reviews application versions, server requirements, licensing, integrations, vendor contacts, user assignments, data, printing, scanning, and other dependencies, with testing and vendor coordination performed where appropriate before production cutover.
What about older or specialized software?
Many law firms depend on applications that have been in place for years.
ProCirrus does not automatically require a firm to replace older software. Instead, we evaluate whether it can continue to operate securely and reliably within the target environment.
Factors such as operating-system support, database requirements, Microsoft Office compatibility, licensing, security, performance, integrations, and vendor support all matter. In some cases, an older application may require a different architecture or eventually need to be replaced.
The ProCirrus approach
ProCirrus starts with the applications the firm actually uses and designs the environment around that reality.
Some applications may remain SaaS. Others may require managed servers. Some may run locally. Microsoft 365 and document management systems may remain with their existing providers.
ProCirrus brings those pieces together and helps manage the infrastructure, identity, security, access, integration, support, and vendor relationships surrounding them.
The goal is not to force every application into the same technology model. It is to give users one consistent managed environment across the applications they need to do their work.
